“Minority Report” Billboards are Becoming Reality

In “Minority Report,” Tom Cruise is forced to face billboards that call out his name as he strolls through an ultramodern shopping mall.  This type of futuristic technology is now becoming a reality.

IBM is working on a new type of technology that will allow billboards to show passers-by tailor made advertisements.

Clear Channel Wants Florida Trees Removed

Clear Channel Outdoor has filed a complaint with the Florida Department of Transportation. At issue is the removal of approximately 18 trees. The trees were planted by some boat retailers who thought they were improving the aesthetics of that stretch of State Road 84. The trees, as they matured, ended up blocking two of Clear Channel’s signs. (more…)

Rapid City Billboard Companies Ask For Incentives

Albuquerque Considers Ban On Digital Signs

Hearing On Billboard Delayed Until July 1.

La Crosse County Circuit Court Judge Elliot Levine has continued until July 1 the hearing on a temporary restraining order request by Collins Outdoor to block the City of La Crosse, Wisconsin from removing their billboard.
