Las Vegas Airport Simplifying Billboard Program

McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas has 43 billboards on its property – some of the most valuable in the city. For decades, even though the airport owns them, the signs have been managed by a collection of different companies, each with a separate term.

The airport has decided to instead award the contract for management of all 43 to just one outdoor company, beginning in 2010. They have made the announcement, and are collecting bids for this new management program.

The airport has a similar contract on all of its interior advertising at the airport, in the concourse, concession and baggage areas. They believe that this program will maximize the airport’s income and simplify its accounting and oversight.

There are still several signs that will not have expired by 2010, the longest of which ends in 2014.
